Privacy Policy
The Kingston Hood Cleaning Privacy Policy is the plain account of the personal information this website collects, why it collects it, where it goes and how you control it. It follows the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the federal law for Canadian businesses that handle personal information in commercial activity. The only place you hand over personal details is the quote form, or the chat window if you open it. Browsing the pages does not tell anyone who you are.

What the quote form collects
You type five things into the form:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your business name
- A message about the kitchen and the work you need
The page adds two things on its own: the address of the page you sent the form from, and a timestamp. Those tell the person replying which page you were reading and when you asked.
The form never asks for payment card numbers, banking details, government ID numbers or health information. If you put any of these in the message, ask and they will be removed.
Where your submission goes
When you press send, a Netlify serverless function receives the form. The function forwards your details to the GoHighLevel CRM that the business uses to schedule the work. It does not keep its own copy.
Inside the CRM, your details are used to reply to you, write the quote, book the visit, send the certificate and issue the invoice. GoHighLevel is a third-party provider, and its servers may sit outside Canada. If so, the laws of that country may apply to the data while it is stored there.
Analytics, the chat widget and cookies
The Google tag. Every page loads the Google tag with the ID GT-TWTTH3J. It is used for analytics only, which means counting visits, pages viewed and the kind of device used. It is not used for advertising or remarketing. Google processes that data under its own privacy terms.
The chat widget. The chat window is GoHighLevel Live Chat. It stays unloaded until you interact with it. Anything you type into it goes to the same CRM as the quote form and gets used the same way.
Cookies. The Google tag sets analytics cookies in your browser. The chat widget may set its own cookies once you open it. No other cookies are set. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them.
Retention, access, correction and deletion
A record stays in the CRM while it is needed to quote, schedule, certify and invoice your work, and to keep the business records Canadian law requires. When it no longer serves one of those purposes, it is deleted.
You have the right to see the personal information on file about you. You can also ask for it to be corrected or deleted. To make a request, call 343-453-2343 or write through the contact page. PIPEDA sets a 30-day limit for the reply. A record that the law requires the business to keep, such as an invoice, stays on file until that duty ends.
No sale of data, and Canadian jurisdiction
Kingston Hood Cleaning does not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Nobody outside the business uses it for marketing.
This policy is governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario. If a privacy concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can take it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Any change to this policy updates the date at the top of the page. Privacy questions
Does reading this website identify me?
No. Reading the pages identifies nobody. The Google tag counts visits in aggregate, and only the quote form or the chat window collects a name, phone number or email address.
Who sees the details I send through the quote form?
The people who quote and schedule the work see your details. The form passes through a Netlify serverless function into the GoHighLevel CRM, and the details are used to reply, quote, book, certify and invoice.
Is my information sold or shared for marketing?
No. Kingston Hood Cleaning does not sell, rent or trade personal information, and no outside party uses it for marketing.
How do I get my record deleted?
You call 343-453-2343 or write through the contact page and ask. The record is removed from the CRM, except for anything the law requires the business to keep, such as an invoice for completed work.
Does the chat widget load on every page?
No. GoHighLevel Live Chat only loads when you interact with the chat button. Until then, nothing from the chat service runs in your browser.
